Patricia, many also call “Pat”, is an organizational development specialist and social change strategist. Whether the arts, education, health, environment, or economic development, with intention, each aspect of her career, and the majority of Pat’s civic service, has had its roots in social change and equity-making. She is a sought-after consultant to charitable foundations, nonprofit organizations, and private enterprise, nationally.

In addition to her consultancies, Patricia’s profile includes 14 years with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation where she held Senior and Executive leadership roles advising charitable donors around the country toward impactful social investments, and guiding the growth, organizational development and brand of a Foundation Affiliate.

As a contracted director for a Missouri State funding agency, Pat led the restructure and delivery of the statewide program to ensure diversity and equity of the State agency’s funding allocations. The funding program operates statewide today. She has also held professional leadership roles in Community and Economic Development and in P-20 public education.

Pat is compelled on a deep level to help public-serving organizations deliver on their missions. She has a rich and diverse civic leadership profile that includes service on a number of regional and State boards and commissions. Special recognitions Pat feels most humbled by are from organizations working to elevate the fabric and trajectory of peoples’ lives, including:

University of Missouri, Kansas City – Case District VI, Volunteer of the Year (eight-state region)

Sociatas Docta, Inc. (SDI), Kansas City, MO – Leadership in Community Philanthropy Award – SDI galvanizes the financial and mentorship support of credentialed Black, female PhDs to help Black, female PhD candidates persist to their advanced degrees.

Rotary Club 13 Kansas City, MO – The Buck Stops Here Award, for economic development leadership in Kansas City’s Historic 18th & Vine District.

Frank Smith Spirit of Kansas City Jazz Committee for “elevating quality and production of the 18th & Vine Heritage Jazz Festival through development and management of a truly broad-based local volunteer leadership body”.

Pat is a native of New York City and calls both, Kansas City and New York “home”. She earned her B.L.A. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City with an American Cultures concentration. The self-described “serial student” also holds certificates in Community Development Leadership from the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, Pittsburgh, PA in partnership with Harvard Business School, Boston, MA; Education Policy Leadership from the Institute for Educational Leadership, Washington, D.C., and certificates in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, SHRM Essentials of Human Resources, Law School for the General Public. Pat also holds CFRE credentials in Fund Development and for fun, a certification in Cardio Hip-Hop Fitness.
